User:Liontamer/Dirge for the Follin/Follin Discography
From SotW Wiki
Listed are links to every known soundtrack by Tim Follin and Geoff Follin. When certain tracks are listed as "ineligible" after a link, it means they were not originally composed or written by Tim Follin and therefore should not be arranged for the album.
Arranged game music denotes tracks that Follin arranged from other sources (e.g. "Bionic Commando"), yet added his own original writing/freestyling to. These are mostly arcade ports for the Commodore 64 and Commodore Amiga systems, and are eligible for the album unless specifically listed as ineligible. Original music refer to couple of non-game demo tracks written by either Follin brother, and are eligible for the album.
Co-credits are listed when appropriate. Since individual artist credits are unavailable for some games, no tracks from those games will be uneligible for arrangement is they're original video game music.
Notes in GREEN are Liontamer's plugs for potentially arrangable tracks, sometimes with genres/styles/concepts/arrangers that may click. They are only there to give people potential ideas and help those who may be unsure of what they want to do.

Tim Follin
Commodore 64
- Agent X II (tracks 2 & 3 ineligible) - Track 1 (about 2:40-long) sounds like something Shnabubula could tackle; Track 2's intro is could make a good closing/fadeout section, or ending track for the project itself; Track 3's could be interesting slowed down, though there's not much to work with per se; Track 4 would make a good break section for almost any track; Track 5 sounds like a pretty DoDish track that could be given some expansive treatment, lots of room for original parts/sections; Track 6 could be nice slow jazz, wouldn't sound out of place in a Sierra game at all
- Arranged Game Music: Bionic Commando (only tracks 1 & 5 eligible) - (Atari ST version w/DeliPlayer) - (Amiga version w/DeliPlayer) - Track 5, already done once by Romeo Knight, is ripe for tons of styles
- Black Lamp (tracks 3 & 4 ineligible) - Track 1 (2:17-long) would sound very nice orchestrated if you can look past the very non-orchestral sounds of the original; Track 2's intro could work nicely in an orchestral combo with Track 1, after the intro, the bassline is really good, and the melody goes off into some wilder parts that are ripe for expansion, feel like zyko could do a nice, trippy slowed down take on this one
- Arranged Game Music: Bodyslam (tracks 2 & 3 ineligible) - Track 1 gives me a side-scrolling shoot-em-up feel (except for the chorus); Track 4's kind of Streets of Rage/side-scrolling fighter style, eh? Gecko Yamori wanna give this some Koshiro-ish coverage?
- Chester Field
- With Geoff Follin: Gauntlet III - (Atari ST version w/DeliPlayer) - (Amiga version w/DeliPlayer) - Track 1 could do some interesting things slowed down and without the driving beat, but isn't melodic; Track 2's could be a nice multitracked acoustic guitar piece with some other accompaniment
- Ghouls 'N Ghosts - Track 1's pretty haunted house style without the beats; Track 2's open to anything; Track 4's a brief one that can spice up an arrangement of another song; Track 6 is really chill, someone get it; Track 8 is also a nice pick, Quinn Fox has arranged it in the past; Track 10 is very melodic, Binster's already done one arrangement of it; Track 11's being tackled by Erik S. - (Atari ST version w/DeliPlayer) - (Amiga version w/DeliPlayer) - Title theme is ripe for interpretation.
- Ghouls 'N Ghosts (alternate) - Only 1 track, anyone wanna do a Yiddish-style joke mix?
- LED Storm (track 1 ineligible) - (Atari ST version w/DeliPlayer) - (Amiga version w/DeliPlayer) - Track 2, wouldn't mind a minute long arrangement of it with a fadeout ending; Track 3 could be a good trance mix, electronic's the way to go, no?; Track 4, gimme some club beats and think of creative ways to get a melody out of this one; Track 5 OHHHH YES that's a sweet groove and has to be tackled by someone; Track 6 actually gives a slightly slowed down racing feel, but the track is short
- LED Storm (alternate) - Track 2's kind of an 80s pop style for part of it, maybe it's that bassline
- Magic Johnson's Basketball
- Original Music: Music Demo Version 1 (tracks 25-30, EXCEPT 27, are eligible) - Track 29's kind of spacey and short, but really malleable to any type of interpretation
- Arranged Game Music: Peter Pack Rat - Does Peter Pack Rat engender anything other than a joke mix? Someone could slow it down, take the melody from Track 1 or 2 and sing about a dirty mouse digging in the trash; Please have fun with it, but produce it well
- With Geoff Follin: Psycho Pigs UXB (track 6 ineligible) - Track 5's pretty manic
- Puzznic (Amiga version w/DeliPlayer)
- Qix - (Amiga version w/DeliPlayer)
- Raw Recruit (track 2 ineligible) - Track 1 is approved for an off-kilter mix; Shna could do something with it, once again
- Scumball - Only 1 track, the bassline is the key; pick and choose the melodic components you want to focus on
- Sky Shark (tracks 1-4 ineligible, 5-6 eligible) - I'm biased toward the ladi back tracks, Track 6 being one of them
- Sly Spy (Amiga version w/DeliPlayer)
ZX Spectrum

- Agent X
- Chronos
- Future Games
- Missile Ground Zero
- The Sentinel
- Solar Invasion
- Star Firebirds
- Star Paws

- Subterranean Stryker
- Vectron
NES
- With Geoff Follin: Incredible Crash Test Dummies - Track 2's got a decent melody that can be taken in a number of directions and given multiple variations; Track 6 is an awesome but criminally short groove; Track 10 is a no-brainer guitar shred fest with extra wank
- Indiana Jones & the Last Crusade (tracks 1 & 2 ineligible) - Track 6 doesn't have much of a melody to speak of, but the bassline is hot (again with the groove bias); Tracks 14 & 15 have got some good energy
- With Geoff Follin: Kiwi Kraze (The New Zealand Story) - Track 2, you can do better than cornflex, can't you?
- Pictionary - Track 1 with some hip-hop influence; Track 3 was discovered by The Orichalcon for his arrangement
- With Geoff Follin: Silver Surfer - Track 1, naturally; Track 5's a good ending riff; Track 6, does any rock guitarist wanna go for it? Rexy's giving this one piano treatment; Track 7's catchy and upbeat despite some disagreeable sections
- Sky Shark (C64 version in previous section, tracks 2-3 in NSF available)
- Solstice - Track 1's pretty melodic and can be arranged in loads of styles; Shnabubula's got Track 2 done in his own trademark way; Track 6 has been covered by Ryan8bit and is a good upbeat piece for other styles
- Target Renegade (same as pirated Double Dragon 4 soundtrack) - Track 2's pretty intense; Track 8 had a hillbilly feel to it - (Atari ST version w/DeliPlayer)
- With Geoff Follin: Terminator 2 - Wow, Track 1 is pretty sweet; Track 3 has some ideas cribbed from Follin's other work, but I can't remember where from at the moment (Solstice maybe) ~ just when you think it's over, the track comes back about 15 seconds later
- Treasure Master Track 1 is an arranged version of the Starsky & Hutch theme, and awesome as hell; Tracks 2 & 3 are cool, but I dunno what one could get out of 'em, without stripping 'em down ~ is that a challenge?; Track 5 sounds like a gondola ride; Track 6 is an interesting one; Track 7 has a happy-go-lucky feel
SNES
- With Geoff Follin & Andy Brock: Batman Forever - "Batman Forever", orchestration seems like a lock, but perhaps something else could be done
- With Geoff Follin: Equinox - I won't lie to you, it takes a special kind of arranger to get something out of this soundtrack, which is generally not melodic; most of the tracks have pauses in bewteen sections; be patient and check out the whole soundtrack to see if anything gives you some ideas. Tracks 6 and 15 used by Abadoss.
- With Geoff Follin, Chris Jojo, Paul Tonge & Matthew Cannon: Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major League Baseball (non-original music/anthems ineligible)
- With Geoff Follin: [ Moto-X] (unreleased)
- With Geoff Follin: Plok
- With Geoff Follin: Spider-Man and the X-Men - I have a long story behind finding "Gambit", but sufficed to say for now, this is a no-brainer. Open to a lot of arrangement approaches, you can choose not only style but what sections of the source you want to use. There's a lot of writing/sections to pick from; "Spider-Man" is pretty upbeat, while "Briefing" is very, very funk.
- With Geoff Follin: Super Off Road
- With Geoff Follin: Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends ("Title Theme" & "Game Music" ineligible)
Next Gen Consoles
- Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the Future (Dreamcast) ["Movie" tracks by Attila Heger ineligible] - "Aquamarine Bay" is a beauty, I'm almost biased enough where I don't want an arrangement of it, that whole "nothing could beat the original" mentality
- With Geoff Follin: [ Firearm] (PC, discontinued game) - The unused title theme is pretty cool; might be hard to do something cool without some audio drama goodies in there, but everyone should at least check it out
- With Bjørn Lynne: [ Ford Racing 2] (PlayStation 2)
- With Muddy Funkers & Paul Stroud: [ Ford Racing 3] (PlayStation 2) - "Race Music 5" has to be heard to be appreciated, as with any very high quality sounding track, the trick is to do something vastly different with it on the arrangement side; "Race Music 6" is deceivingly melodic
- Future Tactics: The Uprising (PlayStation 2)
- With Geoff Follin: [ Prime] (Sega CD) - Title Theme - He's gonna get himself some justice. Self-admitted by Follin as cheesy. So bring on the cheese.
- [ Starsky & Hutch] (PlayStation 2)
- [ Lemmings] (PSP)
